Facilitated by our psychologists, our social groups provide a safe and supported environment for children to build their confidence when interacting with their peers. Our groups run during the school holidays, and we have both single-session as well as intensive groups available.

Solve the puzzles, find the keys and unlock the treasure chest!
This group is set in a Jungle theme and the team members will work together to solve a series of puzzles in order to get the keys to open the treasure chest. The tasks are presented one by one, with written instructions and include ‘help cards’ and ‘break cards’ as a part of the program. Participants will work together to solve problems and within the structure of the program will be utilising and practising skills such as team work, negotiation, compromise, listening to others, sharing ideas, emotional regulation and decision making. This group was designed for Step by Step Psychology by a neuro-divergent friend of the clinic so it has been designed with a strong understanding of the needs and preferences of our neuro- divergent participants. Fostering connection over a shared interest, your child will not only have a blast playing a variety of board games but also learn the valuable skills of sharing, negotiating, and compromising, all within a supportive and encouraging environment. Participants will have a range of board games to play throughout the session, working with their peers to find something which is of shared interest. Our dedicated facilitators are on hand to guide and support each child, ensuring they navigate challenges with confidence and camaraderie.
